Privern Stephens

A seasoned member of Kenya's Certified Procurement and Supply Professionals with a focus on business management and procurement. Due to my strong interest in the supply chain industry, I have had a fulfilling and progressive career in procurement for more than two years at NAS AIRPORT SERVICES LTD and SUPER TANKS LTD. I am passionate about purchasing, supplier management, and efficient transit management. Therefore, my greatest desire is to work in the procurement department of a reputable organization, where I can efficiently account for and distribute sensible economic resources and plan and make wise decisions. I am eager to land a job where I can use my skills and experience to create accurate, fast, and trustworthy draft procurement decisions and complete supply chain management.

The individual's experience spans across various roles and responsibilities, primarily in the field of humanitarian work, procurement, and data collection. In April 2023, as part of Lisha Jamii Phase 2, I was involved in evaluating the needs of beneficiaries and registering them into the World Food Programme's (WFP) beneficiary database. They also managed crowd control during this process.

Prior to that, from September to October 2022, I was part of the Mokoro/WFP SO2 monitoring team. They assessed households, examined their expenditure, and evaluated the impact of WFP projects, particularly in response to drought. Ethical participation of household heads was emphasized in this role.

Before their involvement with the World Food Programme, I worked as an Assistant Procurement Manager at Super Tanks Ltd. Their responsibilities included customer communication, overseeing inventory, managing delivery trucks, negotiating prices with clients and suppliers, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization.

Additionally, I had experience as a Procurement Intern at NAS LTD, where they gained knowledge in using automated systems for receiving and checking goods, creating bid documents, processing invoices, and tracking expenses within budgetary provisions.

During my career, I worked as a World Vision International Enumerator, conducting hygiene and sanitation surveys, collecting and verifying data, and ensuring accuracy in reporting.

Overall, I has a diverse background in data collection, humanitarian work, procurement, and logistics, showcasing their skills in project management, communication, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

From 2017 to 2020, I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a focus on Procurement at Mount Kenya University-Main Campus in Thika. Currently, I am in progress with CPSP-K part 1 (Section One) at the same institution. Throughout my education, I have gained comprehensive knowledge in business management principles and specialized skills in procurement practices. With a strong academic foundation and ongoing professional development, I am equipped to excel in procurement roles and contribute effectively to organizational success.
