I am currently working as a Procurement Team Lead( Contract) with The Youth Café, a Pan-African Non-Profit Making Organization whose primary focus is Youth Empowerment in Africa. As a Procurement Team Lead, I am tasked with developing and implementing procurement strategies, sourcing for goods and services, supplier management, tender evaluations, contract management, supplier prequalification, price negotiation, amongst other duties. Previously I have worked with Britam Insurance as Procurement Buyer for more than 7yrs. My vast experience in the Procurement function has enabled me to become proficient in determining needs, evaluating quotations and proposals, negotiating for discounts, processing purchase orders, drafting and review of contracts, creating of suppliers through the ERP system, managing prequalification exercises, conducting vendor due diligence exercises, tender management, vendor onboarding exercise, ensuring value for money is realized, quality check, implementing key projects and preparation of management reports.

I have a bachelor's degree in commerce (Logistics & Supply Chain Management), 2nd Class Upper Division from the Technical University of Kenya. Besides that, I have done several skill-based courses to equip my knowledge and skills, such as Lean Six Sigma certification, Negotiation, Advanced Project Management, Oracle ERP, Customer Excellence, OHS Certification and Computer Packages.
