Services offered
I work directly with communities to identify the needs, build capacity and implement solutions that improves peoples lives.
Experience
I am a final-year Bachelor of Arts student in Community Development at Africa Nazarene University, with a strong foundation in both academic knowledge and practical fieldwork. I am currently an intern at Nippon Koei on the Mombasa Gate Bridge Project, where I support the social components of infrastructure development. My responsibilities include community engagement, grievance handling, compensation processes, and monitoring social safeguards to ensure inclusive and sustainable development outcomes.
Previously, I volunteered as a social worker at Kenyatta National Hospital, where I supported patients and families through psychosocial counseling, coordinated with healthcare teams, and helped vulnerable patients access essential services and emotional support. This experience strengthened my empathy, communication, and case management skills—particularly in high-pressure environments.
Additionally, I am trained in Kenyan Sign Language, which enables me to effectively communicate with the deaf community. This skill has enhanced my ability to engage inclusively with diverse groups and ensure that marginalized voices are heard in development initiatives.
I am passionate about social impact, gender inclusion, and promoting participatory community development that leaves no one behind.
