I write in response to your recruiting notice seeking applicants for the internship position at your institution.

I graduated recently from Mount Kenya University where my course of study was diploma in law and I was awarded credit 1 and was among the best students from my class. I have worked at The Thika Law Courts, while on attachment, where I got a lot of exposure on the legal practice aspect. I acquired basic knowledge of the legal procedures and court documents which I am well familiar with. I also got a chance to interact with a number of people in the different sides of life which enabled me to view certain aspects of life in a different perspective. I am currently in my third year of law school at The Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

Having worked within a court, I have had the opportunity to acquire various skills and I am willing to learn on the job. I believe the position you are offering at your institution is offering an opportunity especially for the young people to enroll and gain work experience in the work space.

While on attachment at the Thika Law Courts, I was stationed in court 5 which mainly dealt with criminal cases, traffic offenses and children related matters. I interacted with the principal magistrate and the court clerk who were kind enough to let me familiarize myself with most of the paper work from specific registries and the court procedures at the magistrates’ courts.

                          Qualification: Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE)

                          Grade awarded: B plain
