Naomy Muindi

Nothing good comes easy! And so I have taken much of my time to build on my career. I have a master's degree in Economics from the University of Kwazulu Natal and am currently a PhD (Economics) candidate at the same university. 

I have always wished to be in academia to pass the knowledge I have and empower the youths, research more about the current economic affairs, and solve current pressing issues in various economies. And this thrills my heart because it's where my strength lies. 

I am a self-driven educator and researcher who works under no or minimal supervision. I am quick to learn and always willing to accommodate people around me. Two hands are better than one, and so I love teamwork.

Worked with International Development Research Center (IDRC) as a researcher from February 2020 to January 2022.

Worked at University of KwaZulu Natal (UKZN) in the department of Economics.

Period; From June 2018 to July 2022.

Responsibility:

•  Tutoring economics modules.
• Consult with students.
• Conduct administration (Marking exams and record keeping).
• Discuss student performance with academics teaching the modules and consider possible interventions.

January 2022 to present: PhD candidate at University of KwaZulu Natal (South Africa).

January 2020- November 2021: University of KwaZulu Natal. Master of commerce (Economics).
