Mutavi Lily

I possess a Masters degree Communication Development at the University of Nairobi after attaining a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Masinde Muliro University and currently undertaking an Advanced Master’s in International Development (AMID) at the 

I am currently working with an Non-governmental Organization as theInternal and External communication officer in SIMAVI. My core responsibilities are to provide support in overall communication and knowledge management processes for Simavi in Kenya (documenting and communicating country lessons and experiences).

I joined Simavi after working at the ministry of lands after being active in the mainstream media including the Nation Media Group,Radio Africa, The People Daily,Tuko and Opera News for eight years.

At the Ministry of Lands I worked  on the National Land Information Management System (NLIMS), a digital land resource management platform aptly named Ardhisasa, designed to enhance the security of land records, speed up land transactions and curb fraud.

I have acquired all the essential skills a journalist must have. I have excellent written and verbal communication skills. I am ambitious and always desire to succeed. I can work independently, and I’m very organized in all my work.
