Procurement being my career have learned a lot .since 2015 have being working as procurement assistant and stores clerk and have learned a lot. Making local purchase orders, Receiving deliveries against invoce and LPO, Issuing of goods from store to departments against authorised requisitions, conducting  spot checks  in order to advice procurement department on re-order levels and aslo learned how maintain procurement records and posting deliveries on the system.

• Working at Zen Garden Limited as Purchasing Assistant from January 2015 to date,
• Duties and responsibilities as purchasing assistant include;
• Arrangement of deliveries and coding of all items so that they are well stored in different shelves or racks depending on their use or category for easier identification and accessibility. 
• Issuing of items from store by use of a requisition voucher so that adequate stock control can be achieved and ensuring that items are issued in right quality and quantity and delivered to the right place within the anticipated lead-time period.
• Ordering supplies using local purchase order where the user indicates on the requisition what he/she requires and takes it to the purchasing officers to order items from the suppliers. Before ordering a physical stock count is conducted so as to determine what to order and how much to order and use the correct requisition forms to send requests on time to appropriate suppliers.
• Receiving items ordered from the suppliers. At this stage qualities and quantities is checked to make sure they are in good condition and  invoice and delivery note are received and stamped 
• Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
• Preparation of monthly reports of purchases 
• Generating Goods Received Notes (GRN)
• Conducting market research to identify pricing trends

Assisting in implementation of strategies to build organizational capacity in procurement changes in supply environment that need to be taken into account in many procurement decisions
