About Moses Ng'iela:

I am Moses Ng'iela, a holder of MBA (Finance) from  the University of Dar es salaam Business School, BComm (Accounting Option) from the University of Nairobi, a qualified Certified Public Accountant (K) and a member of ICPAK. 

I have twenty Eight years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit, consultancy and general management and currently the Finance director of Busara Center for Behavioral Economics Inc, a not for profit organization for research and innovation in Behavioral economics aimed at poverty alleviation in the global South.. 

I have attached my detailed CV outlining my current and past duties and responsibilities.

Experience

Director, Finance and Operations of Busara Center for Behavioral Economics, a US Section 501(c)(3) of the registered organization operating and focused on Research and advisory work in the Global south

In my role, I:

+ provide strategic level leadership for Finance and Operations

+ Work closely with the CEO in planning, strategy and implementation of plans for sustainability and growth

+ do Interdivisional liaison and Financial purview support to the organization

+ do Stakeholder relationship management

+ am in charge of Risk and compliance management including legal, regulatory and tax compliance

+ do Reporting and project management support providing oversight to the projects and programmes teams

+ am in charge of Staffing and staff development and performance appraisal

+ handle Financing and Financial structure management including treasury management

+ head Procurement and supply chain support

+ lead IT and FMIS administration

Education

MBA (Finance) and CPA(K) qualifications are my most relevant education for this role.

They've given me an all rounded knowledge and more so exposed me to the strategic view of Finance role, helping me in planning, analysis, budgeting and performance reporting.

I have in-depth experience and knowledge of Accounting , Finance, and risk management especially around operations, regulatory and tax compliances.
