About Mohamed Waqo:
I am a passionate environmentalist with Diploma in Environmental Science from Thika School of Medical and Health Sciences, currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science at Kenyatta University. I am working currently as an intern researcher at Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre for Eastern Africa domiciled at Kenyatta University. Basic Computer skills in Ms.Word, Excel and data Analysis using SPSS.
Experience
I worked as an attache' at National Environment Management Authority Marsabit County Office in the department of Compliance and Enforcement where I gained practical experience in Environmental related duties and other general duties. My duties included inspection of environmental facilities, receiving and follow up of complaints, review of EIA/EA reports, dispatch of reports , weekly updating of office database and general office administration duties. Currently working as intern researcher at GTRCMC-EA where I am involved in research development, policy advocacy and formulation involving policy paper writing and policy research with relevant recommendations.

Diploma in Environmental Science from Thika School of Medical and Health Sciences Graduated year 2021.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science at Kenyatta University - Ongoing, final year . Expected Graduation -December 2025
