Maureen Karimi

I am a people person who easily relates with individuals from different backgrounds and social classes. I strive to leave a legacy of impacting positive change in people's livelihoods, especially the children and young adults who are orphaned and vulnerable as they are our next leaders in societies.

I have three years of experience working with the public and communities at large. I have gained practical skills in the fields of project management and social services. I have been involved in various projects as a volunteer or an employee.

I have volunteered with Amref Health Africa where I gained project management skills in running a WASH program in the community.  I have also worked as a Children's Officer where I was involved in various programs dealing with orphaned and vulnerable children. I was tasked with identifying and screening the various cases and placing them in the rightful programs, I managed the cash transfer program in my jurisdiction among other activities. I have experience running administrative tasks as I have worked as an office assistant where I was mandated the smooth running of the office.

I did my practicum at the probation and prison for juveniles where I got to interact with young offenders thus gaining more experience in handling vulnerable groups in society.

I look forward to experiencing more professional growth in my career.

I find my education journey relevant and applicable to this position. but there is one that outstands which is my knowledge in project management, child protection, safeguarding, and international human rights
