Position: Communications/Retail Manager  

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Receiving payments from clients.   
  • Posting content across social media accounts.   
  • Planning and developing social media campaigns.   
  • Engaging with customers on different channels.   
  • Staying on top of the latest social media trends.

2. Embassy of Mexico in Kenya

Position: Visa assistant and receptionist  

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Communicating effectively by giving concrete feedback to visa applicants within the shortest time possible. 
  • Receiving visitors and clients. 
  • Advising customers on their applications for consular services – the documents they need to provide either by phone or email. 
  • Answering phone calls and responding to emails. 
  • Drafting notes verbales and updating the database of Mexicans in East Africa. 
  • Conducting VAT remissions for diplomats. 
  • Renewing certain documents for diplomats. 
  • Preparing documents for dispatch through both courier (DHL) and the driver to the specified destinations. 
  • Filing/archiving, scanning, photocopying and printing documents. 
  • Updating the database of Mexicans living in East Africa. 
  • Assisting in the embassy’s events. 
  • Performing receptionist tasks. 
  • Reviewing the visa applications before final decision by the Consul. 
  • Scheduling appointments.               

3. Embassy of Mexico in Kenya

Date: September 2015 – March 2016 

Position: Intern 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Assisting the various departments (Administration, Consular, Information Technology and 

Culture) with certain tasks. 

  • Filing and scanning documents. 
  • Photocopying and printing documents. 
  • Assisting in the embassy’s events. 
  • Answering phone calls. 
  • Presenting the visa applications before final decision by the Consul. 
  • Conducting media sweeps across the African continent. 
  • Receiving visitors and clients to the Embassy.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Cleaning and laundry.
