Having more than ten years experience in development sector with leading health related international organization and currently working as Technical Supervisor with Pathfinder Intenational. Previously was working as Clinical Supervisor with Jhpiego International, an affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, under UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) Health and Nutrition Innovation Fund (HANIF). The project is aiming to increase utilization of family planning (FP) services by demonstrating an increased use of postpartum family planning (PPFP) methods in the Sargodha district of Punjab province. Which demonstrated that low-dose, high-frequency (LDHF) training for PPFP providers and task-sharing increased the uptake of PPFP services in the district. Incorporating the LDHF approach for on-the-job mentoring and offering supportive supervision to providers after FP trainings; and delivering competency-based trainings for mid-level service providers (i.e., Lady Health Visitors from Health and Population Facilities) to provide long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs), including postpartum intrauterine contraceptive devices (PPIUCDs) and implants.

 

Professional experience with technical expertise in Midwifery and role of Lady Health Visitor (LHV) beside I also been involved in designing, mobilizing, reporting and delivering capacity building programs and ensuring use of IEC material for behavior change interventions in USAID funded MCH Programs. The professional qualification includes Midwifery diploma from Public Health Nursing School Abbottabad in Year 2007 registered by Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) along with Lady Health Visitor (LHV) from Public Health Nursing School Abbottabad in Year 2008 registered by Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).

 

Academic qualification includes having degree of Masters in Economics and One year diploma in Project Management, before that having Bachelor in Sciences from Hazara University.

 

Have received national trainings, workshops and survey on different components of Reproductive Health i.e. MNCH, Family Planning, and involved in promoting key practices for quality insurance for patient safety initiatives, likewise developing and delivering MNCH key messages to the community and providers through group trainings, on job training and coaching etc. 

 

Some of my recent accomplishments were capacity building of Skilled Birth attendants (SBAs) including doctors of Health facilities for the Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiatives (PPHI), private hospitals and CMWs on the Pregnancy, Childbirth, Postpartum & Newborn Care (PCPNC), Infection prevention (IP) and Helping Babies Breathe (HBB). Conducted twice the Quality Improvement & Patients Safety (QIPS) assessment for the Health Facilities and SBAs wise at District Sanghar.

 

My most recent experience of working with MSF as Midwife Activity MAnager enabled me to polish my skills further and ability to take time bound challenging assignments and an international organizational environments.
