Mark Jacob MJ

A graduate keen on entering the geospatial world learning to navigate my career through the geospatial world. I’m keen on becoming a spatial analyst as good problem solver. I’m ready to take on new challenges in geospatial engineering as well as learn and gain experience in this field.

I have only two working experiences. The first one I was a survey attachee at the ministry of lands Naivasha where i had the following roles:

• Record and Update map records. 
• Assist during ground surveys (Topographical surveys, cadastral surveys)
• Use of AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Google Earth.
• Digitizing maps.
• Assist during administrative boundaries disputes in the field.
• Subdivision of parcels of land.
• Placement of beacons on parcels of land.

The second one I worked at China National Building Materials as a technical sales representative where I had the following roles:

• Use of AutoCAD for estimating number of roofing tiles needed for a roof using roof plan.
• Designing a roof plan or design using AutoCAD for clients.
• Liaise with sales representative in meetings with clients to provide technical support.
• Set up meetings with architects, quantity surveyors, project managers and engineers to market products.
• Assist in stock taking.
• Plan site visiting to ensure roofing goes according to plan.

I finished my BSc Geospatial Engineering on 16th Dec 2023 with Upper Second Class Honors.

I am currently doing a data science bootcamp at Moringa School which I am to complete in September.
