About Marjorie Waithera:
I pursued an undergraduate in Biomedical Engineering, where a serendipitous encounter with design ignited my curiosity. Through volunteering at the UBORA design bootcamp in Kenyatta University and participating in an internship at UON Makerspace FabLab, I delved into the world of human-centered design and discovered my passion for user research, physical product design and prototyping. Inspired by my experiences, I embarked on creating innovative solutions, including an automated shower head for handicapped individuals and a custom artificial eye using 3D scanning, 3D CAD design and 3D printing techniques. Expanding my creative horizons, I delved into the world of handmade jewelry design and honed my skills in graphic design, branding, and social media marketing, which proved invaluable for my entrepreneurial ventures.
