Lucy Omondi

A child protection specialist with 15 years’ experience in direct implementation of programs for at risk children and six years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of child protection programs. similarly I recently completed a year of practice in child therapy for at risk children in a school and children's home, alongside this I have eight years experience leading an ECD center.  My work in ECD and Child protection has afforded me a platform to influence professionals working with children thorough training and direct coaching. My skills in Child Protection Organizational Capacity Assessment were sharpened through my involvement in the assessment of donor funded organizations through my work with Daystar University. I have B.A. in Social Work from the University of Nairobi and currently pursuing a MA.in Child development at Daystar University. 

Brighthope International Nairobi, Kenya Partner Developer Associate  April 2015 – To Date. At Brighthope international I worked for people living in extreme poverty, particularly people earning less than two dollars a day. Monitored and Evaluated programs that have a tri dimensional focus: Relief to give people hope for today, skills and educational programs to give people hope for tomorrow and spiritual development programs to give people hope for eternity.

Jabali Springs Ltd Nairobi, Kenya: Executive Director Sept 2013 – To Date Jabali Springs Ltd runs an early childhood development center that provides children with science based nurture, care and education.

Nairobi City County – Child Protection Policy April 2022-May 2022 Was co-opted by Dr. Roseline Olumbe to join the consultancy team of three experts tasked with offering technical support for finalizing the Nairobi City County child protection and safeguarding policy
