Position; Trainer Critical care Nurse Covid-19 response.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide ​training, capacity building and on the job-supervision/mentorship for nurses working in acute clinical areas.
2. Ensure all activities are technically sound and of high quality, while adhering to WHO and evidence-based best practice. 
3. Reviewing the capacity of target health care facilities to appropriately manage and treat patients with COVID-19, including isolation and intensive care unit (ICU) capacity. 
4. Supporting the appropriate identification, screening and triage of patients to respective facilities, as well as supporting referral mechanism capacity
5. Ensuring national staff are capable to support the isolation and proper clinical care for all cases, especially severe and critical patients in need of enhanced levels of care. 
6. Implementation of infection prevention and control measures in targeted facilities and delivery of IPC training to national staff, in line with WHO international standards. 
7. Clinical training, on-the job supervision, and working alongside health staff dealing with COVID cases and developing appropriate training programs to enhance capacity.
8. Work with other team members to design and deliver training on appropriate acute and escalated care interventions (or redesign existing materials as appropriate) in line with WHO guidelines and National Strategy
9. Work with UK EMT IPC nurse to ensure that IPC measures within the department(s) are strictly followed and any relevant training is conducted to improve upon this.
10. Support national staff to ensure consistent care and provide assistance to maintain high standards of holistic life support, including advice related to patient care, medications and nutrition.
11. Support staff to ensure critical COVID cases are stabilized and maintain physiological parameters
12. Provide continued, high-quality nursing care and train staff to meet similar high standards of care
13. Ensure all necessary tools and guidelines in relevant technical areas are available and effectively used
14. Where appropriate and required support task shifting activities with the development of teaching/ training material and clinical support, supervision and mentorship
15. Ensure that the national nursing staff adhere to protocols, policies and guidelines, as outlined by the MoH and WHO and are consistent with established best practices and global technical response standards
16. Support the establishment of surveillance systems within the facility through daily data collection
17. Support the Team Lead with the provision of information for reports and project monitoring to be provided to HQ and Technical Lead.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strengthen WHO Yemen country office in planning, delivery and monitoring of the COVID-19 response through expert coordination support to WHO IMS in-country
2. Technical advice and support for the design, layout or re-purposing of health facilities to be used for isolation and treatment for COVID-19 cases.
3. Adaptation of clinical guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures for the COVID response for the local context, while maintaining mechanisms and protocols to ensure the delivery of essential health services.
4. Support in ensuring continuation of primary and /or secondary health care activities, during period of COVID-19 outbreak, in pre-existing health facility.
5. Provide capacity building through on-job mentoring, technical advice and clinical supervision for case management of COVID-19 cases for doctors, nurses and other hospital staff.
6. Ensuring isolation and clinical care for all cases, including severe and critical patients in need of HDU or ICU. 
7. Work with other team members to design and deliver training on appropriate ICU interventions (or redesign existing materials as appropriate) in line with WHO guidelines and National Strategy.

9. Ensure constant care, and close supervision to maintain life support including medication and nutrition.
10. Monitor and manage ​in agreement with the Critical care physician bacterial co-infection, sepsis and/or septic shock.

12. Ensure that the ​national nursing staff adhere to protocols, policies and guidelines, as outlined by the MoH and WHO and are consistent with established best practices and global technical response standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Deliver professional health services including provision of inpatient care which adhere to the facilities policies and procedures. 
2. Available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, primarily but not exclusively inpatient care. 
3. Ensure operational readiness of resuscitative and emergency equipment, instruments and personal equipment.
