LAMECK OKELLO

Currently, I serve as a teacher in the Individual and Societies department, where I specialize in teaching Global Politics, History, Geography, and Integrated Humanities. I have also had the privilege of taking on the role of Head of Year for MYP 3 and leading the outgoing DP 2 year group. These experiences have allowed me to gain valuable insights into collaborative faculty work, student coordination, and effective management. Moreover, they have equipped me with the skills to instill the core values of our school and provide essential pastoral care to my students.

In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have actively engaged in extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience. I currently serve as the club patron of the Academy's Chania Troop Scouts club, and I have previously held positions as the patron of the Debate Club and as the initiator of the World Scholars club. I am also proud to be an advisor in both the Model United Nations Club and the East African Model United Nations Club, contributing to students' development in critical thinking and diplomacy. Furthermore, I have taken on the role of coaching the School Handball team, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship among students.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in enthusiasm and self-motivation. I am committed to delivering the highest quality of education at the classroom, departmental, and school levels. I am known for my organizational skills, dedication to my work, and my pursuit of continuous professional development.

I have a Bachelors of Education Arts degree and a Masters of Arts Degree. I also hold an advanced Diploma in Human Resource Development
