DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES AS ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
- Cheques writing
- cashier
- Updating members personal accounts i.e.; - shares, Deposits, BBF, loan and interests
- Monthly reconciliation of shares, interest, Deposits,bbf and loan balances
- Processing refunds on loan and Deposits over deductions.
- Processing members' statements and loan appraisal.
- Opening accounts for new members joining the society
- Journal entries for loans and shares transactions.
- Voucher preparation and posting to various respective accounts.
- Processing of EFTs (online banking) electronic funds transfer.
- Monitoring, controlling and reconciliation of petty cash.
- Payment of board allowances and preparing of tax schedule.
- Filing of by-product from various ministries.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES AS CREDIT ASSISTANT/RECOVERY OFFICER
- Recovering of all loans granted to members within stipulated period.
- Regular following of the loans/credit/debts to ensure they are paid as per the agreed terms.
- Ensuring all new members is deducted into our system.
- Giving monthly reports of loans granted, recovered, and unrecovered to credit and board committees and action to be taken.
- Reviewing the existing loan portfolio to identify cases that can be resolved and making recommendations to the management for review and in hand with alternative solution to recover the loan.
- Attending credit committee.
- Approval of loans
- Compiling information relating borrows for submission to Credit Reference Bureaus (CRB) in accordance with the law and guidelines.
- In charge of society loan book.
- Following up with the engaged third party service providers (debt collectors,Valuers and auctioneers) to ensure the process of loan recovery is within the set guidelines.
OTHER DUTIES
