My name is Kimberly Kandie, I’m 22 years old and Recent Certified Public Accountant finalist aspiring to combine educational background with progressive experience to excel as a competent professional accountant.  I study at Strathmore University Kenya with a satisfactory proficiency in computer applications. I have prepared financial statements accurately, prepared accounts and worked with quick books during my course timeline. I have also learned to be a good team member who communicates well, listens and is ready to learn new concepts to aid in my personal growth. I’ve worked hard in my education and now I’m ready to apply my knowledge into practice.

While I don’t have any real-life work experience, I’ve had a lot of exposure to the business environment. A lot of my courses involved working with real companies to solve real problems. Now, I’m looking to leverage everything I’ve learned in uni and get some hands-on work experience.

Changing lives Initiative (2021to date); I appropriately allocate funds for maximum efficiency and aim towards decreasing the percentage cost of project funding, this enables’ the initiative to function effectively such that we as a group could be able to uphold the benefits that the initiative offers to the less fortunate.

Let’s Chat Initiative (2021-2022); Here we majored in content creation and initiate conversations on spiritual and social matters affecting the students in Strathmore university. 

Leadership Program (2018-2019); As a member of the leadership program, I acquired key skills on how to manage a large group of individuals and how to effectively communicate and make well informed decisions. These are skills which I have come to appreciate as I navigate aspects such as group assignments in my accounting and finance course
