About Kevin Omosa:

A self-driven Bachelor's in Entrepreneurship graduate with a strong commitment to
fostering the growth and sustainability of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Currently serving as an Enterprise Development Officer Intern at the State Department of
Industry, with a proactive approach towards MSMEs sector development. Adept at

Experience

Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry (April 2023 to date) - Intern- Enterprise Development Officer:

  • Coordinating the development and finalization of the National Quality Policy for Enterprise Development and global competitiveness.
  • In collaboration with GIZ and Integrated Development Consultants (IDC), coordinating the development of  Industrial Subcontracting Strategy for industrial development.
  • Conducting skills upgrading programs for MSMEs in the garment-making industry in collaboration with NITA and GATSBY Africa.
  • Facilitating the establishment of the Centre for Entrepreneurship (C4E) at Kenya Industrial Estate (KIE) in collaboration with GIZ.
  • Coordinating and implementing The Kenya Industrial and Entrepreneurship Project (KIEP) to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Kenya.
  • Coordinating resource mobilization and partnerships for programs and projects targeting MSMEs.
  • Facilitating linkages between MSMEs and service providers such as quality standards, technology, funding and intellectual property rights.
  • Preparing reports on programs.

Slumberland Kenya (November 2019 to July 2022) - Sales Representative:

  • Presented, promoted and sold products to existing and prospective customers.
  • Submitted orders, serviced existing accounts and established new accounts.
  • Resolved customer complaints and  maintained sales data records.
  • Established and maintained positive business and customer relationships.

SGS (Societe Generale de Surveillance) Kenya (October 2016 to November 2016) - Social Performance Research Team Leader:

  • Led a team in collecting and recording data.
  • Reviewed and edited collected data, encouraged team members and conducted interviews through a questionnaire.
  • Wrote and presented reports to project stakeholders.

International Livestock and Research Institute (ILRI) (February 2012 to March 2012) - Data Entry:

  • Entered data from source documents, verified accuracy and calculated data using Microsoft Excel.
