Kevin Khadambi

I have a passion for working with numbers and interest to learn by working in a fast-paced environment. Aside from my degree, I have held various leadership positions at various organizations and societies that have provided me with important hands-on experience to work as a foundation to build my career in finance.

As captured on my CV, I have graduated with a Second Class (Upper) Honors Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Arts Economics at the University of Nairobi and have completed 3 ACCA papers, currently on course to sit 2 more in March. I am also on track to complete the Financial Analyst course offered by the African Leadership University (ALX) program. My university education gave me access to topics such as probability, data computing, stochastic processes, sampling statistics, calculus, management and financial accounting, performance management, auditing and corporate tax. I believe the knowledge I have acquired through my course work, skills and my thirst to grasp new concepts make me an ideal candidate for this opportunity.

EXPERIENCE

ALPHA SPRINGS TRADING LIMITED– Internship role as an accountant Working Student

 June 2018 – December 2019

I worked as an accountant for the small sized export company. My tasks included:

• Book-keeping and updating of records.
• Compiling financial statements.
• Creating invoices and consignment costs and sending them to the company’s clientele.

Fix Kenya Limited, Nairobi – Short-term Analyst(part-time)

JANUARY 2020 - July 2020

I provided support to the sales and marketing team by ensuring effective data management and came up with proper methodologies through which we were able to interpret and sell ourselves to clients in an appealing manner. My achievements included:

• Attended a first-time meeting with a client together with the managing director and we were able to close the client by the end of the meeting.

Global Exhibitions, Nairobi – Short-term Analyst(part-time)

September 2020 - March 2021

My achievements included:

• Analyzing financial projections of the company
• Preparing books

RTC Fruits Ltd, Nairobi - Data Analyst and Accountant

JUNE 2022 – PRESENT

My contribution and duties to the company include:

• Documenting and maintaining books of accounts.
• Budgeting
• Analyzing together with the strategizing team on the available opportunities, new markets and how best to utilize available resources.
• Keeping track of billing schedules and ensuring they are paid on time.
• Following up on payments from clients.

In pursuit of a degree in Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). Completed 3 papers with the intention of going back to complete the rest in due time.
