Social

Services offered

I work in the field of children, youth development and community engagement, with a strong focus on using sport and play as tools for social change. Over the past six years, I’ve grown within Fútbol Más Kenya, where I currently serve as a Methodological Coordinator. My work involves designing and implementing structured programs that promote mental health, resilience, and life skills among children and young people, especially in under-resourced communities like Mathare, Kibera, and in humanitarian contexts like Dadaab and Kakuma Refugee Camps. I specialize in curriculum development, training youth leaders, and monitoring and evaluation using tools like Power BI, Moodle, and Excel to guide data-driven decision-making. I also support community partnerships, social enterprises, and help track and manage budgets when needed. Ultimately, what I do for a living is create safe, empowering spaces where young people can grow, lead, and thrive—while ensuring that programs are impactful, inclusive, and sustainable.

Experience

I am a passionate children development, youth development and community engagement professional with over 6 years of experience in using sport and play as tools for social change. Currently serving as Methodological Coordinator at Fútbol Más Kenya, I support curriculum design, staff training, M&E, and community partnerships focused on strengthening mental health and resilience in children and youth.

My journey—from volunteer youth leader to team leader and program coordinator—has allowed me to build strong skills in project implementation, strategic planning, data management, and inclusive leadership. I’ve worked across diverse settings, including informal settlements and refugee camps, designing impactful programs that foster safety, belonging, and growth.

I'm certified in Mental Health Ambassadorship, Child Mental Health Coaching, and Sport for Social Impact, and I’m passionate about child protection, digital tools for development, and sustainable social enterprises. I thrive in collaborative spaces where community voices matter, and every step we take is a step toward lasting change.

Education

My most relevant qualifications are in mental health and program management, which align closely with my current role and responsibilities.

For example, I am a Certified Mental Health Ambassador through Aga Khan University’s Brain and Mind Institute, and a Child Mental Health Coach through the Inner Lion Programme by Little Lions Coaching. These qualifications are critical in my work designing child-friendly programs that promote resilience, safety, and well-being.

On the management side, I have completed project planning and tracking courses through Coursera, including tools like Microsoft Excel and ClickUp, which I apply in monitoring and evaluation, work planning, and reporting.

Together, these qualifications allow me to confidently lead children, youth and community-focused programs that are not only inclusive and supportive but also data-informed and impact-driven.
