PROCUREMENT INTERN.

Kenya Medical Training College  - Nairobi branch  | March - May 2015.

• I increased supplier relationship management by 30 % through continuous supplier evaluation and re-evaluations of existing suppliers I.e., Maintained and updated a list of Suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development. 
• I was able to re arrange the store and came up with a unique way of naming items in order to avoid long ques and time wastage searching for the items in the stores. 
• Assisted the Procurement Officers in analyzing quotations / bids submitted by vendors and made a comparative analysis of the information provided in-order to make a Procurement decision.
• Participated   in meetings of negotiation with suppliers and recorded minutes of the proceedings to ensure highest level of transparency is maintained in all purchasing decisions, I was able to successfully award the qualified bidders their items after a vigorous Exercise of selecting and analyzing the qualified bidders who met the set rules.
• Carried out price surveys and maintained price list for routinely purchased items from preferred vendors and ensure prices charged by suppliers is the market prices.
• Closely monitored lead times for all supplies and made follow ups with suppliers to ensure there was timely delivery of order.
