About Kennedy Koja:
My name is Kennedy Koja Awili. I am a trained and qualified teacher of English, Literature in English and Global Perspectives. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Education, English/ Literature and a master’s degree in Education Planning, Management and Administration. With over ten years of classroom and administrative vast experience, and the desire to provide all learners with balanced knowledge and practical skills, I am confident in my ability to be a valuable asset to any learning institution . I have effective classroom administrative and organization skills that are not limited to reporting skills, ability to collect quantitative data, analysis and interpretation, effective communication skills and collaboration. I also have substantial knowledge and understanding of learning and teaching at Lower Secondary and O`level and `A` level. Moreover, I am experienced in the teaching strategies and assessment models of delivering English, Literature in English and Global Perspectives, with checkpoint and IGCSE attributes.
Experience
As my resume will demonstrate, I am a tech-savvy teacher-comfortable in using and integrating technology in my classroom. My teaching career has been geared towards the empowerment of Lower Secondary and High School Students. I have a strong enthusiasm to educate young and average minds and help them blossom into well –rounded, responsible and successful future leaders. Throughout the course of my career, I have had wonderful opportunities to teach diverse groups of learners including those with learning disabilities, those who performed at grade level and those who are gifted /exceptional. As a result, I have become proficient at designing creative and stimulating lesson plans which accommodate and moderate multiple intelligences, bring a hands-on approach to learning, and keep students interested and focused.
I am passionate, kind, considerate, and academically-minded teacher who inspires and motivates students and effectively coordinate teaching and learning progress. I actively engage in a variety of manipulative, enjoyable activities and cooperative learning projects.
In addition, I tailor my literature lesson plans to meet diverse interests as well as demonstrate direct connections between classroom and everyday life. Furthermore, I hold parent and teacher conferences on a regular basis to promote participation in the education process, reinforce education in the home, and boost student’s self-confidence and self-esteem.
