About KELVIN MUTHOMI:
As an expected graduate in BED in Early Childhood and Development Education (Expected October 2023), I have a solid foundation in Elementary Education, Child's holistic development knowledge, Teaching, and problem-solving abilities. I have gained valuable experience applying educational models and methods to real-world scenarios. I am eager to pursue employment opportunities, additional experiences, skills, and education where I can make significant contributions and continue my love for learning, Teaching, serving, and fulfilling a child's best interest.
Experience
In my Teaching profession, I supported teachers by creating lesson plans, leading small activities, projects, reading lessons, and tutoring individuals and small groups of students. I enforced administrative policies during outdoor recess and physical education activities and managed class bulletin boards and hallways and common areas at school. I monitored students' comprehension of material and assessed their progress while helping them identify and address behavioral issues. Additionally, I updated attendance and participation records and graded tests, homework, and assignments. Using active listening and professional communication skills, I successfully built strong relationships with the students and lead teachers and assisted with copying and filing papers and requisitioning and maintaining learning support materials. Finally, I facilitated games and fun activities to help the students learn new material and led online and in-class discussions to reinforce classroom rules.
