JULIUS GITHINJI MUCHEMI

Julius MUCHEMI is an international development consultant with diverse professional expertise. He has a PhD in Governance and Inclusive Development (University of Amsterdam- The Netherlands); Masters of Environmental Science (University of Eldoret –Kenya); Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Egerton University -Kenya) and BSc in Animal Production (Egerton University -Kenya) among many other professional areas. 

He over 25 years of proven across different fields and countries. He is enthused in development and management of large-scale research, innovation and development projects at different level from international to local levels. He has worked under different capacities including international team leader and lead consultant wide range of programmes and projects. He has served in different global regions including Africa and Asian and in such countries as Bangladesh, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Somalia, Sierra Leone, and Liberia among. In these countries, he has provided long-term technical services on major programmes and projects with Food Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, International Fund for Agriculture of the United Nations (IFD), Food World Bank, and European Union, USAID. Julius has also supported several services to several government entities in Kenya – Ministry of Environment, Climate change and Forestry; Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock; Ministry of Water and Irrigation; Ministry of Health; and Treasury among other; Rwanda –Ministry of Water and Sanitation – MININFRA; Sierra-Leone –Environmental Protection Agency; and Bangladesh –Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock among others in different countries. He also has management grants from Small Grant of Global Environmental Facility, Save the Children-Sweden, Australian-Aid, and DFID, Barclays Bank-UK, University of Bern-Switzerland, CTA-Netherlands, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, and Forests People Programme-UK. He has undertaken many research assignments with many local and international client.
