 Participate in planning and management of internal audit function of the organization

controlling process to ensure adherence to set policies and procedures, cost management

and control.

 Participate in developing/revising policies, procedures and system for the department,

including documentation.

 Audit transactions, processes, records and any other relevant records, premises, assets,

etc. of the organization on a regular basis.

 Work with the MIS, financial accounting, operation and administration staff in reviewing

systems and establish appropriate control.

 Regular inspect KIE accounts, use of assets and vehicles, claims and other records of

management staff to ensure that they do not violate any policy.

 Prepare audit reports to be presented to the management and audit committee of the

board.

 Follow up on implementation of both external and internal audit recommendations

 Audit disposal of serviceable and obsolete company assets.

 Audit of branch activities e.g. Administration & collection A/Cs, loans, mortgages, rent,

repossessed assets

 Audit of acquisition of IGT hardware and software

 Establish a process for controlling transactions and process to ensure that they comply

with KIE policies and procedures

 Carrying out regular and surprise inspection of cash, assets, vehicles, records or any other

necessary process to ensure compliance with KIE policy and procedures

 Randomly, interview KIE clients tom establish if the information or records that they

have are in agreement with those of the institution or to establish any misdemeanour by

staff

 Keep abreast with latest development in the DFI sector, auditing and accounting

 Audit of human resource functions and financial activities

 Audit handling of public complaints in the organization

 Timely preparation of audit reports to the management and the audit committee of

management

 Implement the KIE service charter Implement request for investigative/ special audits
