Activities 

• Provide preventive maintenance services, inspect, lubricate, adjust/track, troubleshooting and repair of all mechanical equipment fault of the baggage Handling System., including conveyor belts, end rollers, drive rollers, conveyor drive assemblies, motors, gear box, v-belts, diverters etc.
• Analyse all data from the baggage handling system to determine systems and trends that may lead to problems
• Verify via MDS that all communication links are running and operational
• Ensure there are no devices in an alarm state that will prevent BHS conveyors from starting
• Verify that the flight schedule loaded is correct for the current day’s flight
• Set and ensure flights to makeup carousels are correct and make changes as required
• Monitor MDS for any visual and audible alerts and do the necessary corrections
• Monitor and accept/reject automatic FIDS/BIDS downloads
• Coordinate with users and maintenance staff as required for baggage tray management, ensuring availability at load points at all time
• Print end-of-shift reports, retrieve and file all alarm log reports from all alarm printers
