Duties and Responsibilities
 Training Building Technology/Civil Engineering and Plumbing Pipe Fitting Students.
 Organizing practical sessions for the students and guiding them.
 Preparing Schemes of Work, Records of work and lesson plans and maintaining them.
 Assessing students on attachment and tracking their performance records.
 Setting and marking the assessment tests and preparing students' report forms.
 Supervising then during examination sessions
 Marking, maintaining and keeping the class attendance register of students.
 Guiding students while undertaking any civil and building repairs on the institute's 
facilities.
 Ensuring health and safety administration especially during practical sessions


September, 2021- April, 2022: Building Construction Trainer at Kenya YMCA National

Duties and Responsibilities
 Training Masonry and Plumbing students both in college and on-site, within Nairobi 
City.
 Assessing students on attachment.
 Preparing and Maintaining Schemes of work, lesson plans and records of works.
 Carrying out research on the emerging trends in the field of construction and the Built 
Environment.
 Availing/Assembling materials necessary for Masonry and plumbing practice.
 Maintaining the Institution infrastructure e.g. the water system by carrying out any 
necessary repairs and maintenance.
 Marking, maintaining and keeping the class attendance register of students.
 Setting and marking the assessment tests and preparation report students’ forms.

Duties and Responsibilities
 Aiding operatives in setting out by interpreting plans and ensuring the structure being put 
up conforms to the specifications in the drawing.
 Implementation of new projects across different site managed by the company.
 Supervision and checking the quality of work done by the operatives.
 Drafting reports regarding the progress of company projects.
 Carrying out re-measurement and valuation of the work and give update to the Manager.
 Allocation of duties to the operatives and maintaining their duty-roster.
 Ensuring materials are available in the site and maintaining their record and store keeping.
 Ensuring health and safety administration especially during manual site operations.
 Taking photographs at different stages of construction as a way of tracking the progress of 
work.
 Attending site meetings on behalf of the Company manager and giving reports on the 
project progress.


February, 2021- April, 2021: Attached at Sukari Industries Limited, Civil Engineering 
Department 
Duties and Responsibilities
 Architectural and Structural plans-interpretation.
 Surveying works (levelling using a dumpy level).

 General construction works i.e. Site clearance, setting out of various structures, Excavation 
works, casting of concrete in RC works, building of masonry wall, plastering/rendering, 
formwork fabrication and installation & other carpentry works, steel fixing, concreting, 
installation of electrical conduits and mechanical works.
 Allocation of duties to the operatives and maintaining their duty-roster.
 Tracking the project progress and drafting reports to the chief Engineer.
 Carrying out plumbing works e.g. installation of sanitary fittings.
 Overseeing road repair/maintenance and construction of culverts.
 Drainage system construction works and taking part in stone pitching.
 Project supervision and administration of safety.
 Overseeing plant operations during road maintenance and repair.
 Undertaking some store requisition processes on behalf of the senior supervisor.


May, 2019-August, 2019: Attached at the County Assembly of Siaya, Works Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
 Reparation of Bill of Quantities for new projects.
 Preparation of Interim payment Certificates for the construction of ward offices.
 Performing Structural Design Works.
 General Supervision of the ward offices construction across the county.
 Drafting reports regarding the progress of Assembly construction projects.
 Supervision of the Assembly sewer line repair and maintenance on behalf of the works 
officer.
 Interpreting both architectural and structural drawings to the operatives.
 Accompanying the Project manager to the PMC meetings for the ward offices projects.
