Joan Waweru

My name is Joan Waweru, a final year Informatics and Computer Science student at Strathmore University. I have an interest in web development in PHP Laravel, software engineering, human computer interaction, android development in Java and Machine Learning. I am currently learning React JS and Python. I have participated in an open-source project by Google called BIG-Bench under the Swahili sector. I have competed in the Microsoft ADC Mentorship Program and was in the second cohort where my team emerged as winners. 
 

I volunteered at the Kenya Red Cross Society, Kiambu Branch from February 2022 to April 2022, where I learnt about first aid and how to deal with situations during dire times.

I interned at the Tatu City Training Academy from January 2019 to June 2019, where I assisted in data entry of job seekers at the institution. I also mentored some of the students who were studying tertiary courses at the institution.
