Jeremiah Oyuma

I'm holder of a bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Nairobi and possess profound knowledge of the profession and East African Construction Industry at large having worked as an Intern, Arbitrator's Clerk, Quantity Surveyor and Estimator since 2018.

My experience encompasses professional practice in (1) building projects mainly residential, commercial, factory workshops, airport hangars and state embassies (2) civil engineering projects mainly roads, highways, bridges, dams, water and sewerage, and (3) electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical projects mainly geothermal & hydro power developments, oil and gas.

I have performed the following tasks across the above projects: - interpretation of drawings, taking off & preparation of bills of quantities, preparation of measurement sheets and site measurement, site visit & reporting, attending site/progress meetings and minute writing, preparation of test & progress reports, valuation & preparation of payment certificates, preparation of final accounts, preparation of program of works, estimation, costing & tender documentation, tender evaluation, contract interpretation, negotiation & administration, cost advise, procurement & logistics, preparation of budgets, cost control, cashflow forecasts, contractual correspondence, preparation of claims, claim management & negotiation, and preparation of contract documents for sub-contractors & consultants.

Further, I profess immense skills in all Microsoft office applications, ArchiCAD & AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, WinQS, Bluebeam, Dimension X, TAS, Candy, SPSS and SAP software.

I'm a freelance tutor and a fast learner.
