Jeremiah Lomari Apalia

An Economist by profession and practice. 

So far, 14 consolidated years of service as a Banker, and Public servant in both the National and County Governments of Turkana. Served in the Public service as an Economist, Economic Advisor, and Chief Officer in the portfolios of Governance, Finance, and Economic Planning.

Born on 10th May 1982 at Kataboi Division in Turkana North Sub-county. Second born in a family of six. 

Started school in 1990 at kataboi Primary, joined Lodwar High School in 1998 and finished in 2001. Was admitted to Egerton University in 2003 to study BA with specialization in Economics and Statistics, and graduated in 2007. Got a government scholarship to study Ma- Economics at the University of Nairobi and graduated in 2015.

2008 - 2010: Worked as a Credit Officer at Equity Bank Ltd, Namanga, and Lodwar branches.

2010 - 2014: Served as a District Development Officer and County development & Planning Officer, at the then Ministry of State for Planning National Development and Vision 2030.

2014 - 2016: Joined the County Government of Turkana and served as an Economic Advisor to the Governor

2017 - 2022: Served in the same county government as a Chief Officer for Governance, Finance, and Economic Planning.

2012 - 2015: Master of Arts in Economics, University of Nairobi

2003 - 2007: Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Statistics, Egerton University

1998 - 2001: Lodwar High School, KCSE 

1990 - 1997: Kataboi Primary School, KCPE
