A strategic environmental and legal professional, excelling in conducting environmental and social impact assessments, assessing existing monitoring findings and evaluating the efficacy of mitigation measures, implementing environmental and social management systems (ESMS), carrying out environment-related consultancies such as Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental Audits (EAs) and Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) and compiling environmental reports such as EIAs, EA and SEA. Resettlement of project-affected people
- Land title authentication of project-affected people at the Ministry for Lands and County office for land rate payment.
- Creating a vulnerability entitlement matrix for the vulnerable affected people such as the aged and poor, the aged and ostracized, the poor single-parent homes and the child-headed households.
- Conducted census and social-economic analysis of project-affected people their housing types, water and sanitation, sources of water, and distance to social amenities such as dispensaries and latrine sanitation.
- Billing quantities aspects for the environmental monitoring consultant at the construction stage such as grievance redress mechanisms.
- Conducting stakeholder engagement analysis.
- Coordinating the census of the Project affected people (Households, businesses, structures and land).

- Managed and affected the project's stakeholder consultations schedule.
- Scheduled meetings between projects affected and project-relevant civil society members, government cadre, international bodies and government security teams.
- Managed team logistics for all 9 counties (states) planning meetings between the local governments authorized and team logistical circuits.

RAP Expert- Mombasa Northern Bypass
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducted analyses that shall detail the positive and negative effects of the development of the project on the environment, prepare the Project affected people for resettlement, hold public consultative meetings with them as well as the government, and private sector stakeholders.
- Resettlement action Plan Inventory
- Liaised with the government stakeholder consultation Liason.
- Planned community consultation process (barazas & meeting with Deputy county commissioners, chiefs and local elders)
- Conducted direct engagement with stakeholders including local security teams, administration and communities.
- Coordinated with the multi-disciplinary design team to develop solutions that were feasible for both the design review and the stakeholder engagement objectives.
- Engaged with communities to inform decision-making and at times, grievance redress of issues related to study activities or study proposals into the future road alignment and design.
- Provided insight into the studies’ discussions on human rights issues (including considerations of vulnerable groups) and community/trust land tenure aspects that added value to the assessment of impacts on land take and development of livelihood restoration strategies.

- Acted as the main contact person in the project office in Mombasa.
- Coordinated with expatriates from Japan and other project team members, as well as authorities from the local Government, including Mombasa County and National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).
- Enabled smooth and efficient operations.
- Planned community consultation process (barazas & meeting with Deputy county commissioners, chiefs and local elders).
