About Janet Muthoni:
I am a Supply Chain professional with over 11 years of work experience and educational training in procurement and supply chain. I believe my work experience at AMPATH and beyond, leadership experience and educational training make me a great fit for this position.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, Purchasing and Supplies option, a post graduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain, and currently pursuing my Masters in Business Administration and an Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain. Additionally, I am a registered member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supplies (CIPS), Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) and have an Active Supply Chain Practitioners’ Licence.
I have spent the last 5 years working at AMPATH, starting as a Supply Chain Officer and growing to serve as the Deputy Supply Chain Manager. While in this role, I have built extensive institutional knowledge and supply chain expertise that I will directly apply to this role. Some of my key strengths that will support my success in this role include:
- Experience in overseeing tendering and procurement processes to ensure efficient procurement of goods, services and works.
- Managing supplier and contractor relationships to ensure they deliver and meet expectations.
- Enforcing compliance with established procurement regulations, policies, and processes
- Managing teams ensuring they have the tools needed and motivation to perform their duties.
Beyond AMPATH, I have worked at in other organizations where I have built procurement and supply chain processes, participated in the tendering process and facilitated payment of vendors and suppliers.
Underpinning all my professional achievements is the high level of accountability and integrity to which I hold myself. This ensures that I meet all deadlines, go above and beyond expectations, and stay committed to producing high-quality work. I have great interpersonal skills that enable me to work effectively with my colleagues and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.

5 years experience at AMPATH Kenya, growing from a Senior Officer, Supply Chain to the Deputy Supply Chain Manager.
2 years experience at One Acre Fund as a Supply Chain Associate.
2 years experience at Real People Kenya as an Operations Officer.
2 years experience at Synchronized Communications Limited as a Procurement Operations Officer.
