Before joining TUKO Media, Jacob was a sub-editor and senior business reporter at The East African Business Times where he had the opportunity to traverse East Africa, interviewing State ministers (e.g. Uganda's finance minister); vice chancellors (e.g., USIU-Africa, Daystar, KCA, Meru, Eldoret, Maseno, Kisii, JOOUST and Kabianga); and corporate managers (e.g., Telkom Kenya, Toyota Kenya, RMA etc.) 

One of his proudest moments was when he was invited, alongside a few other African journalists, to attend and cover the second Africa Tourism Leadership Forum in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, in 2019.

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication & Media Technology (Plus IT) from Maseno University, Kenya.
