PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

During my attachment in the procurement and supplies department, I specifically

undertook the following activities;
1.Negotiation

Communication skills, better communication techniques to communicate with the

external clients, and also customer care handling skills.

2.Raising quotations

This is done by raising the quotation documents to the pre-qualified suppliers that

provide specific supply of various goods and services which they are accordingly

categorized from the nature of business of the suppliers and organization needs.

3.Opening of quotations

This is the exercise that is carried out after the pre-qualified firms return their bids for

different items listed in the quotation documents. They will fill the required details plus

the questionnaire and drop them in the quotation box provided awaiting opening by

appointed officials.

4.Supplier Appraisal

We carried supplier appraisal whereby we evaluated and monitored supplier
capability to ensure successful delivery of commercial outcomes. We measured their
performance in terms of the following criteria:

The percentage of acceptable deliveries in relation to the total number of deliveries
