Hillary Bett

Experienced designer with more than 10 years in both media and publishing firms. My passion is converting stories to a form whereby the audience is able to interpret them easily using visual elements.

2011-2016: Express Communications Ltd

Worked as a creative for 5 years where my primary role was to create compelling designs for the publishing firm, such as posters, flyers, web banners and layouts for different publications. I was later promoted to Lead designer, where I headed the prepress department and was tasked with ensuring the house style of the company was adhered to.

2016-To date: The Star Publications (Radio Africa Group)

Joined the group as a layout and advertising designer in the Star Newspaper section. Later in 2020 I was promoted to a senior designer. It has been a great experience learning new skills every passing day, for each additional role, I get to grow as an individual and at the same time achieve the company set goals. Currently, I'm into digital graphics for the Star Online, Radio Jambo, Mpasho and Kiss 100.

As a graduate of Buruburu Institute of Fine Arts (BIFA) 2011, I was equipped with basic technical skills which were required in the job market.
