About Hildah Wafula:

I am a qualified Economics and Finance professional from Kabarak University; I completed my three- month industrial attachment at the County Government of Bungoma, Kimilili Municipality in August last year. Since March of this year, I have been working as a finance assistant at Accucare Medical Clinic and Home Based Nursing, focusing on financial record management, financial analysis, assets register management, inventory management, budgeting and procurement, payroll preparation, and reporting. Through these experiences, I have gained valuable skills that are useful in monitoring financial records for accuracy, optimizing financial practices for maximum profit, and maintaining documentation. I am a highly organized and detail-oriented person.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing data entry and bookkeeping tasks including recording daily financial transactions, organizing and filingfinancial documentation, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.
  • Spearheading the budgeting and procurement process for departmental supplies, including creating budgets, obtaining quotations, analyzing them, negotiating favorable terms, submitting for approval, and monitoring actual performance against budgeted figures.
  • Managing and updating the clinic's inventory, reconciling and monitoring stock levels, and ensuring availability of essential medical and operational items through timely reordering to minimize waste.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive fixed assets registerto maximize asset efficiency and accountability.
  • Managing invoicesand payments to vendors for medical and operations supplies(accounts payable) as well as from patients (accounts receivable).
