About HARRISON KIARIE:
As a Counter-Terrorism (CT) Prosecutor, I have been entrusted with major counter-terrorism cases within and outside of Nairobi. This enables me to interact with various government agencies, experts in the field, and international partners. I have also had the chance to initiate both local and international cooperation while undertaking my prosecutorial duties.
Experience
I have a bachelor’s degree in law. I have over ten years of experience in law, criminal justice, law enforcement, prosecutorial, and international legal cooperation
2010-2014 – I practiced law as a private practitioner. This included lecturing at the Kenya School of Credit Management on various legal fields. I also represented clients in criminal trials.
2014- present – Employed as a prosecutor with the following responsivities; undertaking prosecution, undertaking research on assigned legal issues, collecting and collating research data, advising on various legal policy issues; screening files from police and other law enforcement agencies for possible prosecution, studying and evaluating case files presented for decisions whether to or not to charge, reviewing prosecutions to ensure that accused persons are prosecuted on the right charges before the appropriate court, preparing theme for the case and anticipating legal problems or objectives.
