January 2019- December, 31 2019: Working at Kaimosi Friends University as an intern. 

Responsibilities

  • Updating customers' invoices.
  • Preparing payment vouchers.
  • Updating and maintaining payment voucher register, imprest warrant register, and expense claim register.
  • Verification and preparation of imprest warrants and expense claims.
  • Proper filling and maintenance of a filling system for easy retrieval of documents.
  • Receiving documents from other departments that need action from the finance officer.

  • Filling withholding tax for the company.
  • Other duties as specified by the finance officer.

JULY 2018 –DECEMBER 2018: working as a front office clerk trainee at traveler's beach hotel & club in Mombasa, where I trained in the following sections:

  • Reception: At the reception, I undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Checking in guests.
  • Attending guest and staff inquiries at the front desk and on the phone.
  • Inform guests of the services and accommodation rates in the hotel and make reservations for guests according to their needs.
  • Build good relationships and rapport with guests to make them feel comfortable and address any complaints they might have very courteously to protect the hotel's image.
  • Keep clear and comprehensive records of guests in-house, arrivals, and departures for accountability and future reference.
  • Maintained orderliness at the front desk by arranging documents accordingly and keeping the front desk area clean at all times to avoid rowdiness.
  • Report issues of maintenance and malfunctioning appliances to the manager for quick repair in order to ensure guests' comfort and satisfaction.

2. Reservation 

Duties and responsibilities.

  • Maintaining and updating daily bookings
  • Provide detailed reports on the daily guest arrivals.
  • Update any change in booking rates
  • Provide information about all the products, packages, and services prices to clients when required

 

MAY 2017-SEPTEMBER 2017: Attachment at Imarika Sacco and I worked in the following departments.

Accounts department, where I performed the following duties.

  1. Reconciliation and collection of money from tellers
  2. Verifying goods received members' personal accounts posting, debtors ledger updating, and creditors ledger updating.
  3. Reconciliation and creditors payment processing

Credit department, where I performed the following duties:

  1. Adjustment of loan payment fees, filling defaulters' letters, sorting loan forms, and attaching guarantors.
  2. Reconciliation of payrolls, TSC, approval of loans, receiving and dispatching of files, and capture share data.

2014-2018: Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (Kaimosi Campus) Taking                                                                                                                                                                       Bachelor Degree in Commerce Accounting Option. I achieved second-class upper division.

2010-2013: St. George's High School in Kaloleni. I achieved a mean grade of B (Plain)

2002-2009: Bamba Primary School in Ganze. I achieved a total mark of 362.
