About Glory Nyangena :
I did my bachelor's of science in community health in the Technical University of Mombasa.
I have been privileged to work as a programs officer for over 2 years in WADADIA organization where I oversee all organization's projects and ensure they run smoothly as planned. My duties included and not limited to; leading my team to reach expected targets, create work plans, budgets, plan for meetings, events and media updates.
These roles allowed me work closely with the community which is my greatest passion. This enabled me to lead my team in different projects and activities that target obstetric fistula survivors in terms of economic and psychosocial empowerment and reproductive health awareness.
Ensuring there is a positive change in behavior and academic performance through youth and adolescents life skills coaching was also part of my duties.
I am pursuing my masters in Public health and intend to graduate at the end of 2023.
Apart from the professional space, I mostly enjoys family moment, traveling, reading and fun drawing.
Some of the skills I have gained over the years include: the importance of team work, flexibility, creativity, listening and time management.
Experience
I worked as a tutor for 2 years in two professional colleges; African institute of research and development (AIRADs) and Institute of Certified Studies (ICS)
Later on I joined WADADIA organization as a programs officer.
Education
I did my bachelor's of science in community health and graduated in 2017. I am now enrolled in my masters programs aiming to graduate by the end of 2023
