- Responsible for the effective execution of the full spectrum of HR services & value chain touching on the employee lifecycle from sourcing to separation across the 3 countries of operation ie Kenya, Uganda Ethiopia and Rwanda.
- Providing leadership and direction to the high performing HRBPs and Admin team in ensuring the implementation of the strategic human capital initiatives of the organization across the region.
- Contributing to overall business strategy and policy via strategic partnership and people operations thought-leadership to the management team on the human capital implications and requirements to achieve business goals and initiatives.
- Creating and maintaining a high-performing ecosystem that gets the best out of all employees whilst delivering outstanding employee experience and promoting an awesome organizational culture.
- Providing guidance on HR best practices to the line managers and the Vice President as and when required.
- Constantly developing, evaluating and implementing the global people operations strategy in coordination with the the Chief People Office and the Global Hr team.
- Periodic tracking, managing and reporting on vital HR metrics to the country and global leadership i.e. HR budget, headcount, individual employee performance outcomes etc. while curating measures to improve each metric.
Achievements
I oversaw the implementation of our strategic HR agenda for mPharma Eastern Africa with over 200 employees across 4 countries. Also lead the transition of various change management initiatives including playing lead on some global level activities focused on leadership development, talent management initiatives, and high engagement levels across these countries.
I successfully launched a recognizing excellence daily (RED) Stars program to promote and enhance a strong culture of recognition within mPharma at all levels. we have seen over 500 employees recognized globally since the launch of the program in July of 2019.
Improved the recruitment process/ candidate experience while also reducing the average time to fill from 90 days to 30 to 45 days in most cases. Also successfully developed a scalable onboarding process and personalized onboarding plans which has improved our orientation experience and employee engagement. Have maintained over 80% rating score QoQ .
With my I.T Background, I championed the selection and deployment of the company's first automated Human resource Management Information systems -HRMIS (Bamboo.HR and Reflektive) for quality HR service delivery on performance management to enhance an employee-centric performance management processes and promote a culture of transparency, engagement, and real time feedback.
