Ø  Safely delivered over millions of Kenya shillings worth of goods to various locations within East Africa for the past four years.

Ø  Communicate effectively with customers and warehouse staff for effective delivery of their good.

Ø  Delivered 97% of shipments ahead of the expected delivery time. This ensures high level of customer satisfaction.

Ø  Ensure that I have planned my route well so that I can have time to rest during the trip. This ensures that no driving while sleeping happens.

Ø  Successfully executed the given number of trips per month depending with the destination of the shipment.

Duties and Responsibilities   

Ø  In charge of route planning and carrying out feasibility study for a potential route within East Africa and open it up. Train the new staff and establish it.

Ø  Advising the management on what type of Scania buses to invest in based on the road terrains in East Africa.

Ø  Handling breakdowns by dispatching a rescue bus with a standby driver. demand, especially on the routes that are highly competitive.

Ø  Ensure all the parcels are received and delivered on time throughout Kenya Uganda and Tanzania.

Ø  In charge of monitoring driver’s and conductor’s behavior and report and recommend the necessary disciplinary action.

Ø  Proper route planning and bus allocations to various destinations within East Africa.

Ø  Scheduling of new departure timings that meets customer’s needs and monitoring how the new schedules are performing.

Ø  Ensure high level of discipline is maintained among all employees and ensure how they relate with the clients is in a friendly manner.

Ø  Keeping a detailed record of all the buses, their routes and their crew for future references using MS Excel.

Ø  Assigning of bus crew members to different buses headed for various destinations.

Ø  Confirm that all the cross border buses passengers and parcel have all the necessary required documents for border inspection.

Ø  Supervising employees in every aspect and ensure that they have the right mind-set towards the customers.

Ø  Ensure all the drivers and conductors are disciplined and treat the passengers according to company’s cord of conduct.

Ø  Coordinates with the workshop on vehicle breakdowns and repair to ensure all vehicles are in top working order.

Ø  Confirm with the workshop if all the drivers have written the mechanical problems on the job card so that they can be attended to.

Ø  Confirm and verify passengers manifest before departure time.

Ø  Training of Staff in department policies and procedures, and how to use the transport software. In addition monitoring of their performance and how they relate to customers.

Ø  Holding Meetings before the shift begin to affirm that every employee knows what is expected of them.

Ø  Acted as the main point of contact for customer’s queries, inquiries, complaints and customer relations.
