Francis Matheka

I am experienced in manufacturing, process engineering and quality management with skills ranging from kaizen (continuous process improvement) to lean manufacturing, data tracking and analysis of operational costs. I am a member of the Engineers Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer.

My skills range from data collection to data analysis and reporting, with particular emphasis on defects analysis, cost monitoring and process improvement. One of the highlights of my work as the Quality Engineer is that I was able to monitor and analyze costs related to customer complaints and warranty claims on finished buses, and present the same findings to the company management for corrective action to be taken. This gave the management a clear picture of how much defects cost the company, information which was not previously available to them.

In addition to this, I am trained in Quality Management Systems as an auditor of ISO 9001, and have good experience collaborating with external and regulatory bodies regarding statutory compliance.
