Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required for procedures.(NHIF)  Checking eligibility and benefits verification for treatments, hospitalizations, and procedures.  Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information.  Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.  Insurance customer care  Regularly calls insurance companies to follow- up  Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary  Identifying and billing secondary ortertiary insurances.  Handles the verification of insurance benefits for customers.  Updating cash spreadsheets, and running collection reports.Establish, implement and control collection procedures  Monitor the team collection performance and assist where help is needed  Carry out collection activities.  Monitor collection performance and provide appropriatereporting and analysis to management.  Perform the credit and collection function ensuring timelyreceipt of customers and debtors payments for debt collection billing.  Ensure timely billing to all customers.  Assess opportunities and implement plans in conjunction with the team to increase levels of new clients  Engage existing clients to inject new accounts for debtcollection.  Review of bad debts and recommend action to be taken by clients.  Attend meetings requested by client
