Felista Muchangi

I am passionate about my work. I deal with different communities, cultures and people which allows me to be more effective in communications and respecting different cultures all around. Community development allows me to learn more and use my skills effectively. Skills like teamworking skills, communication skills, budgeting skills, risk management skills, stakeholder communications skills, management skills, office management skills,  counselling skills and project management skills.

I worked at Centre for adolescents and young change makers an NGO in chuka, Tharaka Nithi county. I used to worked under a thematic area on mental health. Everyone experiences different stressors in life but if one does not know how to handle them well it easily leads to poor mental health I was able to counsel 100 youths from different schools on how to deal with different stressors to avoid poor mental health. This is where I polished my project management skills since the stakeholders wanted to reach as much youths as possible and guide them and also counsel them to ensure good mental health. I worked here during my attachment period.

I have a bachelors degree in community development  which I acquired at the Chuka University in Kenya.
