I am a recent graduate student from Chuka University who is passionate about the discipline of Procurement and Supplies Management. I have a passion for delivering the best in whatever I set out to do.
The nature of my coursework has already rendered me with a good exposure to practical field. My work experience with Kapkatet sub-county hospital as a procurement and stores department attachee makes me the strongest candidate for this position as it gave me exposure to the health industry. I have also previously worked with NACADA as a supply chain management intern for five months which gave me a further exposure to the procurement field. I am interested in furthering this experience gained and helping in growing the procurement and supplies department. I know that an exposure with you will give me the desired experience.
I have a Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management. I have also graduated as a Certified Procurement and Supplies Professional of Kenya (CPSP-K) after successfully passing all the examinations and I am  a member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM). In addition to being competent in procurement practices, I’m also proficient in excel and word. I am a quick learner, good at following instructions and always keen to gain more knowledge and practice in the world of procurement. I strongly believe that my technical expertise in combination with a positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn and grow as a professional make me an ideal candidate.
 

INTERNSHIP- National Authority For Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA)
Worked  as an intern within the Supply chain Management department at NACADA.
My duties and responsibilities included but were not limited to:
Taking part in tender evaluation committee meetings to vet the responsive bidders
Issuing of items to the user departments upon requisition.
Receiving and inspecting deliveries from suppliers to ensure they conform to the specified standard.
Undertaking market survey and research.
Assisting in audit of documentation and terms of contract before approval and award.
Reviewing records and information to ensure that the work processes and procedures are in line with organizations policy.
Liaising with finance department to process payment to sellers
Inventory and stock control

2019- Kapkatet Sub-County Hospital -Attachment

Worked at Kapkatet sub-county Hospital as an attaché in the Procurement Department and the Stores department.
My Duties and Responsibilities included:
•Helping the User department and Procurement department in preparation to standard specifications
•Sourcing suppliers and pre-qualifying suppliers to be used in selection
process.
•Balancing bin cards upon receipt and issue of stock.
•Participation in evaluation of bids submitted according to their preliminary, technical and financial qualification
•Keeping records in Procurement files and storing them in secure cabinets
•Feeding data to the system upon receipt of new stock and issue to used departments
•Counter checking invoice and purchase order to ensure items delivered are per the specification.
•Inspecting goods delivered to ensure they are in proper state and meet the intended purpose.
•Accepting deliveries and processing payment of suppliers as per the stipulated time.
