About Faith Mutsotso:

An enthusiastic and strong leader with over seven years of diverse experience in project design and implementation, liaison and relationship management, and people management and coordination. I am keen on poverty reduction through building and developing human capacity, reducing social and gender inequality and inclusive growth, that enables traditionally marginalized groups like women and youth, access opportunities to improve their well being and therefore, their quality of life.

  • Coordinating the youth project design team in the design of the youth project, in alignment with the current Mission strategy. The project document will guide the implementation of youth related activities in all the technical offices in USAID Kenya and East Africa.
  • Organizing the youth project management collaborative, a team that oversees the implementation of activities under the youth project in the mission strategy.
  • Supporting in coordinating the Education Office, Front Office and SPA teams, to take part in the development of the education sector Implementation letter with the Ministry of Education. 
  • Pioneered the participation of Admin staff in county liaison teams, a platform initiated to enhance USAID’s presence at the county level. The mission adopted the idea of attaching admin staff to Country Liaison teams from my experience, providing me a chance to mentor and build the capacity of fellow admins to take up this role.
  • As a member of the Kisii county liaison team, I was part of the team that gave input into the annual work plans of the two projects from the HPN and OEGI that are being implemented in Kisii County. This was in addition to conducting a Kisii County government and USAID joint field visit of the two projects. 
  • managing different office calendars (leave and office coverage) for the office director and team
  • meeting scheduling and logistics management (Internal and external)
  • Correspondence with EDY contacts and stakeholders (IPs other NGOs, GoK and private sector)
  • Drafting, proof reading and formatting of documents and reports
  • Keeping the team on track with daily reminders on important tasks, deadlines and office coverage
  • Managing all travel logistics for the office director and the team
  • Document routing and tracking for reviews and clearance
  • Managing the office filing system
  • Managing and updating of office document handbooks
  • Managing the office contacts directory
  • Diary management of the chairman and directors’ calendars. 
  • Main correspondent for and on behalf of the company and senior management
  • Internal and external Meeting scheduling and logistics management
  • General HR functions and staff coordination to ensure effective running of the different functions of the company
  • Customer and client service and management
  • Client investment portfolio and account management
  • Supporting the company in contract drafting, management and compliance
  • Supporting the company in the annual audit process
  • Initiating and participating in training initiatives and re-enforcing service development.
