About Faith Muthiani:

I am a project manager with professional experience in field-based humanitarian and resilience projects in the NGO sector.

Currently, I am the National Contact Person for Modern Slavery Human Trafficking Response (MSHTR) in Kenya as well as the Project Manager for the Anti-Human Trafficking Project at the Salvation Army Kenya. This is a project that is being implemented in 17 countries within Africa and over 125 countries in the world. I am tasked with the overall responsibility of overseeing the management and implementation of the project in Kenya. I have successfully led the project team in developing the project proposal for the second phase of the project, thereby attracting funding of USD 952,430 being funded by Switzerland and Australia.

Previously, I worked as the monitoring and evaluation assistant for WASH project then later as a project Field Coordinator for the Nairobi/Thika cluster before being promoted to be Project Manager. This assignment provided me with solid skills and experience in working directly with the community.

Earlier in my career, I volunteered at Nyumbani Children’s Home – Lea Toto Home Based Care Program (Kariobangi Centre) which is a USAID-funded community program as well as tutoring on community development courses.

I am trained in Community Resilience in Development, Project Management for Development Professionals (Project D Pro) by Humentum, Basic Child Protection, Research Methods and Data Management (SPSS & STATA) by Amref International, Fighting Fraud in NGOs by Humentum, Resource mobilization by GIZ,  Kobo Toolbox among others.
