Faith Asande

am an Environmental Health and Safety specialist with 6 years of experience in Environmental and Social Advisory services. I have developed Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) for organizations across various sectors such as construction, community-based organizations, and most recently in the retail environment.

I currently work for Naivas Limited managing projects in the EHS space. My largest projects are the evaluation and implementation of food safety systems within the entire business and the development of waste management practices within the organization. Apart from this, I am also managing the implementation of the environmental and social action plan through DEG group for the organization and Energy Efficiency development in-partnership with IBL.

Prior to joining NAIVAS, I worked with Diaspora Design LTD, where I handled Environmental and Safety Monitoring for various construction projects. This included occupational health and safety inspections and environmental audit surveys. Some of these construction projects include the construction of libraries at Egerton University and Kabianga University among others.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental science from Maseno University and currently finalizing on my Masters in Occupational Health and Safety at Kenyatta University. I am registered with National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA KENYA) as an Associate EIA/EA expert and an Associate Member of the Environment Institute of Kenya. (EIK)
